I always thought the most personalized gifts were ones that remind you of something special in your relationship. Like, did you ever go on a date that really stuck out to your relationship? If so you could get something that will always remind him of that date even when you’re away. It depends what kind of guy he is and what he’ll like! Also how much you’re wanting to spend, because you could always get him a nice watch, pocket knife (though the rules with those depend on his Tech School so be careful), etc.
Just get creative and think of something that will really be special to his heart.
